Overview
The Jaecoo J6 is a five-seat battery-electric SUV for buyers who want an EV that still looks like an SUV. Three trims are listed for 2026: Comfort RWD at PKR 8,799,000, Luxury RWD at PKR 9,899,000 and Premium AWD at PKR 10,799,000 ex-factory, roughly 88 lakh to 1.08 crore before freight, taxes and registration. Pay orders go to NexGen Auto Pvt Ltd, booking is 20%, and delivery is quoted at 3–4 months — the number to plan around here.
Exterior
Flush door handles, black arch cladding, roof rails and a closed-off EV nose give the J6 an upright two-box stance. At 4406 × 1910 × 1715 mm on a 2715 mm wheelbase it is short but unusually wide, so it parks like a compact SUV and sits in a lane like a bigger one. The 195 mm of ground clearance is the figure that matters most locally, clearing the speed breakers and broken edges that low-slung EVs scrape. RWD trims wear 18-inch alloys on 225/60 tyres, Premium AWD 19-inch on 225/55. Colours: White Howlite, Black Platinum, Grey Morganite, Silver Granite and Auroral Green.
Interior
All three seat five on leather-trimmed seats with a powered driver's seat under a panoramic glass roof, and the 450-litre boot is honest rather than generous. Comfort covers the basics properly: climate control, wireless charging, push-button start, parking sensors front and rear, and a 360-degree camera. Luxury and Premium add heated and ventilated front seats plus driver lumbar adjustment, which through a Karachi summer is worth more than the extra power. No trim carries a spare wheel.
Infotainment
Every J6 gets a 12.8-inch touchscreen with navigation, Bluetooth and voice control alongside a digital cluster, plus connected EV menus for charging status, drive modes and camera views. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are on the feature sheet, but availability has varied by software batch, so check the head-unit version at the dealer before booking. There is no head-up display, and audio is a plain front-and-rear speaker set.
Electric powertrain
Comfort and Luxury share a single rear-mounted motor rated at 181 HP — adequate rather than quick, but it gives the J6 real rear-drive balance. Premium AWD stacks a second motor for 275 HP and all-wheel traction. All three use a single-speed automatic, cap out at 180 km/h, and turn inside a tight 5.5 m radius. Modes run Eco, Normal, Sport and Custom; Premium adds All Road, Slippery, Beach, Muddy and Bumpy. Torque is not published on local listings, an odd omission for an EV.
Safety
Six airbags are standard across the range, with stability and traction control, hill-start and hill-descent assist, TPMS, ISOFIX, child locks, a door-opening warning and an immobiliser. The 360-degree camera and parking sensors are fitted to every trim rather than held back for the top one. Driver-assistance depth — autonomous braking, adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring — is trim and batch dependent, so confirm the build sheet.
Mileage
For an EV, mileage means range. Comfort's 49.9 kWh LFP pack is rated at 329 km, Luxury's 65.6 kWh at 426 km — the longest here — and Premium AWD's 69.7 kWh at 418 km, because the second motor eats the extra capacity. The onboard AC charger is only 6.6 kW, so a 0–100% home fill takes 8.5 to 11 hours: overnight, not a top-up. On a CCS2 DC charger, 10–80% takes about 42 minutes. The battery is covered for 8 years / 160,000 km.
