MINI Cooper 2026 Overview
The MINI Cooper is the brand's icon — and in its fifth generation the three-door hatch is fully electric. Dewan Motors sells two versions in Pakistan: the Cooper E at PKR 17,500,000 and the Cooper SE at PKR 19,200,000, both ex-factory. It is a four-seat city car with premium materials and a strong dose of personality.
Exterior
The design is cleaner than before: a round-edged grille, round LED headlights, no chrome and flush surfaces. At 3,858 mm long it is the shortest car in its price bracket, and a 10.8 m turning circle makes U-turns easy on narrow city roads. Ground clearance is 124 mm, so approach steep ramps and big speed breakers with care.
Interior
The dashboard is dominated by the round 24 cm OLED display, with a toggle bar of physical switches below it and knitted fabric across the dash. There are four seats; the rear bench suits children or short trips. The boot holds 210 litres, expanding to 800 litres with the rear seats folded.
Infotainment
MINI Operating System 9 handles navigation, media and vehicle settings on the round screen, with touch and voice control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. "Experience modes" change the display graphics and cabin lighting, and the MINI app shows charge status.
Electric powertrain and driving
A single motor drives the front wheels. The Cooper E has 184 hp and 290 Nm and reaches 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds; the Cooper SE has 218 hp and 330 Nm and does it in 6.7 seconds. Low weight for an EV and quick steering keep the classic go-kart feel.
Safety
Six airbags — front, front-side and rear-side — are standard, along with stability control and tyre-pressure monitoring. Parking sensors and cameras help in tight spaces.
Range and charging
The Cooper E's 36.6 kWh battery is rated at 293–305 km WLTP; the SE's 49.2 kWh pack reaches up to 402 km. On a DC fast charger the E goes from 10 to 80% in about 28 minutes and the SE in about 30 minutes at 95 kW. Both take up to 11 kW on a three-phase home wallbox. Expect less range in summer with the AC on.
Variants
- Cooper E — 184 hp, 36.6 kWh, best suited to city driving
- Cooper SE — 218 hp, 49.2 kWh, longer range for intercity trips
Dewan Motors also sells a petrol MINI Cooper C in three- and five-door form; it will be added here once its full official specifications are confirmed.
Alternatives
The MINI Aceman adds five doors and a bigger boot for a little more money. For more space per rupee, consider the MG 4 or the BYD Atto 2.
