BMW iX1 2026 Overview
The BMW iX1 is the all-electric version of the third-generation X1, the brand's smallest SUV. Dewan Motors imports it in a single specification, the dual-motor xDrive30, at PKR 24,900,000 ex-factory. It is a compact five-seater that feels familiar — X1 proportions and cabin — but runs entirely on battery power.
Exterior
At 4,500 mm long with a 2,692 mm wheelbase, the iX1 is easy to place in city traffic yet still has a proper SUV stance and 170 mm of ground clearance. The kidney grille is closed off, LED headlights sit in a slim graphic, and flush door handles keep the sides clean. A drag coefficient of 0.26 helps the range, and the 17-inch wheels wear tall 205/65 tyres that suit broken roads.
Interior
The cabin is built around a curved glass panel that joins the driver's cluster and the central touchscreen. Physical buttons are pared back; the centre console floats, with a phone charging tray underneath. Rear-seat backrests recline and the boot holds 490 litres, growing to 1,495 litres with the seats folded — more than most electric hatchbacks at this price.
Infotainment
BMW's Curved Display pairs a 10.25-inch instrument screen with a 10.7-inch touchscreen, controlled by touch or the "Hey BMW" voice assistant. Connected navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are built in, and the My BMW app handles charging status and climate pre-conditioning.
Electric powertrain and driving
Two electric motors, one on each axle, give all-wheel drive and a combined 313 hp and 494 Nm. That is enough for 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, with top speed limited to 180 km/h. The motors are BMW's fifth-generation eDrive units, which do not use rare-earth magnets. Steering is light around town and the ride is firmer than a Chinese EV's, in the usual BMW way.
Safety
Standard protection includes front, side and head airbags plus a centre airbag between the front seats, stability and traction control, and tyre-pressure monitoring. Parking Assistant and the Reversing Assistant, which can retrace the last 50 metres automatically, take the stress out of tight Pakistani parking.
Range and charging
The 64.7 kWh battery is rated at 417–440 km on the WLTP cycle; BMW Pakistan quotes up to 438 km. Expect less in summer heat with the AC running. On a 130 kW DC charger it goes from 10 to 80% in about 29 minutes, and a full charge on an 11 kW home wallbox takes about 6.5 hours.
Variants
Only one version is sold here: the iX1 xDrive30, with dual motors and all-wheel drive. Equipment can vary by shipment, so confirm the pack and colour with Dewan Motors before booking.
Alternatives
For more space and range at a similar budget, consider the BYD Sealion 7 or the XPeng G6. The Deepal S07 costs far less for a larger electric SUV, while the Mercedes-Benz GLC is the petrol-hybrid premium choice.
