Guide

KPK driving licence explained

Apply for a learner permit in person at the licence branch with your CNIC (minimum age 18), a medical certificate and the fee voucher. The learner matures in 45 days; then return for the traffic signs test and the driving test, pay for the licence card, and collect the card after seven days. The card is valid for five years.

A lost licence needs a Roznamcha report from the police station and the duplicate fee. To convert a licence issued elsewhere, bring the original licence, an NOC from the authority that issued it and a medical certificate.

Renewing within a month of expiry costs Rs 2,500; leaving it three years or more after expiry doubles that to Rs 5,000.

KP Traffic Police has a separate renewal route for overseas Pakistanis on the same website, under Driving License.
