The KP Finance Act 2025 replaced the whole motor vehicle tax schedule from 1 July 2025. The KP Finance Bill 2026 changed only the rates for hire vehicles (taxis, rickshaws), so private-car rates stay as below. Motorcycles pay Rs 2,500 once for life.
The FBR advance tax collected with the token is the same in every province — see the full filer and non-filer table.

Guide
Private vehicles with more than six seats (vans, some jeeps) pay Rs 1,500 per seat a year instead of the engine-size rate.
All electric four-wheelers are exempt from KP token tax until 30 June 2028. After that the Act sets rates by motor power, from Rs 2,000 (up to 50 kW) to Rs 8,000 (above 124 kW).
The federal advance income tax (section 234) is collected with the token: Rs 800 for cars up to 1000cc and Rs 3,750 for 1500–1599cc, for example. Non-filers are charged three times as much; it stops after ten years in use.
