Guide

Sindh e-challan explained

TRACS reads the number plate with its cameras and issues the e-ticket against the registered vehicle. If someone else was driving, the owner still has to resolve it — through a Sahulat Center or 1915. This is why a car sold on an open transfer letter keeps sending challans to the old owner: transfer it, and check your CNIC on Excise Sindh afterwards.

Most violations also carry points — up to 8 for overspeeding, one way or reckless driving. TRACS says that collecting too many points can lead to licence suspension and a mandatory driver improvement course. Juvenile driving and pressure horns carry no points but some of the highest fines.

TRACS has a Blacklist Vehicle check on its website. Run the number through it before you buy a used car in Sindh, alongside the e-ticket search and the CPLC theft check.

Complaints go through the 1915 call centre or a Sahulat Center; TRACS says most are reviewed within a few working days. Note the ticket’s PSID and the 30-day payment window while the complaint is open.

Many sites (and an old widget on the TRACS homepage) still show Rs 500 or Rs 1,000 fines. Sindh raised its fines sharply; the amounts on this page are from TRACS’ current published fine list.
