MINI Countryman 2026 Overview
The Countryman is the largest car MINI makes — a five-seat compact SUV that shares its platform with the BMW X1. Dewan Motors offers three versions in Pakistan: the electric Countryman E at PKR 24,800,000, the petrol Countryman C at PKR 25,400,000 and the dual-motor Countryman SE ALL4 at PKR 26,900,000 (ex-factory).
Exterior
This third-generation model is 4,445 mm long and 1,843 mm wide on a 2,692 mm wheelbase — noticeably bigger than earlier Countrymans. The upright, boxy shape, octagonal grille and flat-topped LED headlights give it more presence than the Cooper or Aceman. The petrol C sits higher, with 202 mm of ground clearance against 171 mm for the electric versions, which matters on broken roads and steep ramps.
Interior
Inside, a round OLED display sits in the middle of a textile-covered dashboard, with a row of toggle switches below. The rear bench seats three adults. Boot space is 460 litres in the EVs (450 in the petrol), growing to about 1,450 litres with the rear seats folded — properly family-sized.
Infotainment
MINI Operating System 9 runs navigation, media and settings on the round screen, with voice control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Different "Experience modes" change the display themes and cabin lighting.
Engine and powertrain
- Countryman E — a single front motor with 204 hp and 250 Nm; 0–100 km/h in 8.6 s
- Countryman C — a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo with a 48V mild-hybrid system, 170 hp and 280 Nm, driving the front wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox; 0–100 km/h in 8.3 s
- Countryman SE ALL4 — two motors and all-wheel drive with 313 hp and 494 Nm; 0–100 km/h in 5.6 s
Safety
Six airbags are standard, with stability control, tyre-pressure monitoring and front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera. The structure is shared with BMW's current compact SUVs.
Mileage and range
Both electric versions use a 64.6 kWh (net) battery. The E is rated at up to 462 km WLTP and the SE ALL4 at up to 432 km. On a 130 kW DC charger, 10–80% takes about 29 minutes; at home the car accepts up to 11 kW AC. The petrol C is rated at 6.2–5.9 L/100 km (about 16–17 km/l) in WLTP testing and has a 54-litre tank; expect less in Pakistani city traffic.
Variants
- Countryman E — the most efficient choice and the longest range
- Countryman C — petrol, highest ground clearance, no charging needed
- Countryman SE ALL4 — fastest, with all-wheel drive
Alternatives
The BMW iX1 uses the same platform with a BMW badge. The BYD Sealion 7 offers more space and power for the money, and the smaller MINI Aceman is a cheaper way into an electric MINI.
