Toyota Corolla on installment: what to know

The entry Toyota Corolla — the Toyota Corolla Altis X Manual 1.6 — costs Rs 105,866 a month with Bank Alfalah: 51% down (Rs 3,110,490) and 36 months at 16.54%. The Toyota Corolla Altis Grande X CVT-i 1.8 Black Interior works out to Rs 103,772 a month, but only because it needs 62% down (Rs 4,779,580) — with the loan capped at Rs 3,000,000, pricier variants mostly raise the upfront payment, not the installment. Figures use each bank’s published rate on 2 October 2026 and the ex-factory price.

State Bank of Pakistan rules allow one person to borrow at most Rs 3,000,000 for a car, across all banks. Once the price is above Rs 4,285,714, a 30% down payment would leave more than Rs 3,000,000 to finance — so the minimum rises. On the Toyota Corolla that means 51% for the Toyota Corolla Altis X Manual 1.6 and up to 62% for the Toyota Corolla Altis Grande X CVT-i 1.8 Black Interior. Most comparison sites still quote 30% here, which no bank can approve.

The Toyota Corolla is above 1000cc, so the State Bank caps car financing at 3 years. Ads that show five- or seven-year Corolla plans are out of date.

Over 3 years on the Toyota Corolla Altis X Manual 1.6, Meezan Car Ijarah comes to Rs 108,131 a month at a fixed 14.75% — and that rental already includes takaful and the tracker. Bank Alfalah Auto Loan is Rs 105,866 at 16.54% variable, before insurance, which you pay separately. A variable rate moves with KIBOR every year; Meezan’s does not.

Besides the down payment, budget for the bank’s processing fee, comprehensive insurance (included in Meezan’s rental), and registration — token tax, withholding tax and number plates. See the full Toyota Corolla on-road price by province, and the monthly running cost for fuel and maintenance.
