Overview
The Kia Sportage L is the long-wheelbase hybrid SUV assembled for Pakistan by Lucky Motor Corp. Two 2026 grades sit on the list: FWD HEV at PKR 12,199,000 and AWD HEV at PKR 13,299,000 ex-factory. Freight, taxes, and registration sit on top. Booking is about 20% to Lucky Motor Corp, with delivery quoted around 2 months.
A SmartStream 1.6 T-GDI hybrid pairs a turbo petrol four with an electric motor for a listed 235 HP / 368 Nm combined peak (engine 178 HP / 265 Nm, motor 64 HP / 264 Nm). Claimed economy sits around 14–17 km/l, with a 52 L tank and a 586 L boot on a long 2755 mm wheelbase.
Exterior
Boomerang LED DRLs, a wide black grille, and 18-inch alloys set the stance. Overall size is 4685 × 1865 × 1660 mm with 181 mm clearance. Both grades get a panoramic sunroof; AWD adds a smart power tailgate. Five colours cover Clear White, Fusion Black, Interstellar Grey, Selenium Grey, and Sparkling Silver.
Interior
Five seats and a 586 L boot (up to about 1872 L seats down) suit family trips. Dual 12.3-inch curved screens, a switchable climate/media panel, and wireless phone mirroring define the cabin. AWD stacks ventilated seats, a heated wheel, and driver memory on top of the shared hybrid kit.
Infotainment
The curved dual-display layout runs navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, and Bluetooth audio. Steering switches and a shift-by-wire dial keep the centre console clean.
Engine / driving
Both trims share the 1598 cc turbo hybrid and 6-speed automatic. FWD is the daily-efficient pick; AWD adds grip for wet highways and light trails. Drive modes include Eco, Sport, and My Drive. Listed top speed is 181 km/h.
Safety
Six airbags, AEB, lane keep / follow, blind-spot monitoring, and tyre-pressure monitoring come as standard on the Pakistan HEV pair — a strong ADAS brief for the class.
Mileage
PakWheels lists about 14–17 km/l depending on traffic and AC load. The hybrid battery is a compact 1.49 kWh lithium pack that assists city stop-go rather than long EV-only runs. Real figures still lean on how hard you use the turbo.
Variants
FWD HEV at PKR 12,199,000 is the value hybrid entry with dual screens and panoramic roof. AWD HEV at PKR 13,299,000 adds all-wheel drive, ventilated seats, heated steering, memory seat, and power tailgate.
