Overview
The Isuzu D-Max is Ghandhara Industries’ current-generation pickup for Pakistan — seven official grades from a 1.9-litre single-cab work truck to the X-Terrain double-cab. Official prices run PKR 8,100,000 to PKR 13,390,000. Pay orders are made out to Ghandhara Industries Limited.
Against the Hilux it is the other Japanese diesel double-cab on this catalog, usually a little cheaper grade-for-grade. The 3.0-litre 4x4s quote 190 PS and 450 Nm and a 3.5-tonne tow; the 1.9s quote 150 PS and 350 Nm.
Exterior
Official Auto Plus colour plates are Siberian White, Onyx Black, Charcoal Grey, Mercury Silver, Islay Grey, Sapphire Blue, Imperial Red and Valencia Orange. V-Cross G and X-Terrain get 18-inch alloys on the official pages. Pakistan listings and the current-generation D-Max sheet quote a double-cab at 5265 × 1870 × 1785 mm on a 3125 mm wheelbase. The official pages do not publish ground clearance in millimetres; they do quote 800 mm of wading on the 4x4s.
Interior
Single-cabs are two-seat work trucks. Double-cabs are five-seat. X-Terrain is the one GIL writes about as a cabin: two-tone MIURA leather, lumbar support, dual-zone climate, a 9-inch screen and a 7-inch colour cluster. Auto Plus adds an 8-way power driver’s seat and the same leather language on a 4x2 high-ride. Hi-Rider stays closer to a utility interior. The load bed is the boot — we are not inventing a litre figure.
Infotainment
Only the top double-cabs get a real screen on the official copy. X-Terrain: 9-inch touchscreen and 7-inch e-LUMAX cluster. The work grades are not given a screen size on the homepage. Apple CarPlay is not listed on the Pakistan pages, so we are not ticking it.
Engine / driving
Two diesels. The 3.0 (2999 cc) makes 190 PS / 450 Nm on every 4x4 from Hi-Rider up to X-Terrain, with a 6-speed manual or the 6-speed sequential auto. Rear diff-lock and rough-terrain mode sit on V-Cross G and X-Terrain; Hi-Rider adds shift-on-the-fly 4WD. The 1.9 Blue Power (1898 cc) makes 150 PS / 350 Nm: Hi-Spark is the 4x2 single-cab, Auto Plus is the 4x2 high-ride auto. Payload is quoted as one tonne on V-Cross G. Kerb weight is not on the Pakistan pages.
Safety
X-Terrain is the only grade GIL gives seven SRS airbags. V-Cross G, Hi-Rider and Hi-Spark are written as dual airbags, ABS/EBD/BA. V-Cross G and Auto Plus add ESC, traction, trailer sway, hill descent and hill start. Rear parking sensors are on V-Cross G. Confirm the pack on the truck you are shown.
Mileage
The official Pakistan pages do not quote a km/l figure. Listings usually sit around 9–14 km/l depending on the 1.9 versus the 3.0 and how much you tow. Treat that as a listed band, not a brochure promise. A loaded 4x4 3.0 will look more like the bottom of the band.
Variants
Hi-Spark S/C M/T at PKR 8,100,000 is the 4x2 1.9 work cab. Hi-Rider S/C M/T at PKR 9,265,000 adds the 3.0 and 4x4. V-Cross Auto Plus at PKR 10,790,000 is the 1.9 auto double-cab. Hi-Rider D/C M/T at PKR 11,320,000 is the 3.0 4x4 double-cab without the V-Cross kit. V-Cross G M/T and A/T at PKR 12,250,000 / PKR 12,865,000 are the 18-inch 4x4s.
