Toyota Prado 2026 Overview
The Toyota Prado on sale now is the J250 Land Cruiser Prado, a CBU five-door from Indus Motor. Two grades sit on the 2026 list: TX 2.7L petrol and VX 2.8L D diesel, from PKR 55,111,000 to PKR 60,111,000 (PKR 5.51 – 6.01 crore) ex-factory. Freight, taxes, and registration sit on top. Both grades list about 6 months delivery. Pay orders go to Indus Motor Company Limited.
This is a body-on-frame, full-time AWD SUV aimed at buyers who want more isolation and travel range than a Fortuner, without stepping up to a 300-series Land Cruiser. The TX is the five-seat petrol; the VX is the seven-seat 2.8 diesel.
Toyota Prado exterior
The J250 drops the old chrome-bar face for a boxy, upright shell: black cladding, squared arches, roof rails, and side steps. Length is 4925 mm on a 2850 mm wheelbase — longer than a Fortuner, with a 6.4 m turning circle that you feel in tight compounds.
The TX sits on 18-inch alloys (245/70 R18), 205 mm of clearance, and a slimmer 1940 mm body. The VX is the wider, taller truck (1980 × 1935 mm), 215 mm clearance, and 20-inch alloys (265/60 R20). LED lamps, DRLs, fog lamps, and a rear camera are on both; the VX adds a power tailgate and surround-view.
Toyota Prado interior
The TX is a five-seater with fabric, single-zone climate, and rear AC. Boot space behind the seats is listed at only 105 litres — fine for bags, tight for a family weekender unless you fold the bench.
The VX is the seven-seater: leather with powered front seats, dual-zone climate, and 405 litres with the third row in play. Both cabins get push start. Digital clusters and an 80-litre tank are shared.
Toyota Prado infotainment
The TX uses an 8-inch screen, six speakers, navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The VX is the cabin that feels current: a 12.3-inch display and ten speakers, plus the same CarPlay / Android Auto stack. Steering switches and a rear camera are on both; the VX adds surround-view.
Toyota Prado engine
The TX uses the 2694 cc 2TR-FE petrol four: 164 HP @ 5200 rpm, 246 Nm @ 3900 rpm, a 6-speed automatic, and a listed top speed around 160 km/h. In a 2225 kg SUV it is adequate on the motorway.
The VX is the one most buyers come for: the 2755 cc 1GD-FTV turbo-diesel, 201 HP @ 3400 rpm and 500 Nm @ 2800 rpm, an 8-speed automatic, and modes from Eco through Sport S+. Kerb weight is 2525 kg. Full-time AWD, downhill assist, and hill-start assist are on both grades. Top speed is listed around 175 km/h on the diesel.
Toyota Prado safety
Both grades list seven airbags, ABS, EBD, VSC, traction control, downhill assist, hill-start assist, and ISOFIX. LED lamps and a rear camera are shared. The VX adds a surround-view camera and a power tailgate.
Toyota Prado mileage
Claimed fuel average is 9 km/l city / 11 km/l highway on the TX petrol and 10 / 15 km/l on the VX diesel. The 80-litre tank is the range argument on long trips; the 2.7 petrol is thirsty in town in a 2.2-tonne SUV.
