Overview
The Dongfeng Box is Chawla Green Motors’ city electric hatch for Pakistan — a five-seat, frameless-door EV sold in three priced grades. The sheet runs PKR 5,500,000 for Smart 330 up to PKR 6,800,000 for Flagship 430. Booking on the 430 cars is a flat PKR 1,500,000. Pay orders are made out to Chawla Green Motors.
It is a short hatch with a long cabin: 4020 × 1810 × 1570 mm on a 2660 mm wheelbase, and a 326-litre boot that opens to 945 litres with the rear bench down. One motor does the work: 70 kW / 94 HP and 160 Nm, front-wheel drive, 140 km/h claimed top speed. Against the MG Binguo it is the cheaper official hatch with a published 430 km CLTC figure on the long-range cars. Against the BYD Atto 2 it is lower and more hatch than crossover.
Exterior
A closed EV face, a thin light bar and hidden handles. Official Pakistan colours include Vanilla Frost, Ocean Eyes, Electric Lemon, Lavender Haze and Silver Forest. Lux 430 rides 16-inch steel wheels with covers; Flagship 430 steps up to 17-inch alloys. The official Chawla page quotes a 4.02 m length and a 326 / 945-litre trunk.
Interior
Five seats in leatherette, a 5-inch digital cluster and a lounge-style flat-fold front seat. Wireless charging and a floating centre console keep the floor clean. Flagship adds heated fronts and a louder six-speaker set. Ground clearance is not published on the Chawla sheet — we are not inventing one.
Infotainment
Chawla lists a 12-inch central touchscreen. Bluetooth is standard; Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are on the listed Pakistan kit. Lux uses four speakers; Flagship uses six. There is no separate passenger screen.
Engine / driving
A front permanent-magnet motor, 1-speed automatic, Eco / Comfort / Sport. Smart 330 uses a smaller LFP pack for a claimed 330 km CLTC. Lux 430 and Flagship 430 share the official 42.3 kWh LFP and 430 km CLTC. AC charging is listed around 6 hours on the 430 cars; DC is quoted at about 30 minutes to 80% where a compatible charger exists. Vehicle-to-load is on the official feature list.
Safety
Dual airbags, ABS, ESC, hill-start and traction control sit on the base sheet. Flagship 430 is the ADAS car: adaptive cruise, AEB, lane-departure warning, lane-keep, traffic-sign recognition and a surround camera. Confirm the pack on the car you are shown — Smart 330 is the city commuter, not the driver-assist grade.
Mileage
There is no petrol average. Use the claimed electric range: 330 km CLTC on Smart 330 and 430 km CLTC on the 42.3 kWh cars. Heat, highway speed and AC will cut that. Treat CLTC as a brochure cycle, not a Lahore-to-Islamabad guarantee.
Variants
Smart 330 at PKR 5,500,000 is the entry pack and the shorter-range battery. Lux 430 at PKR 6,400,000 is the volume 42.3 kWh car. Flagship 430 at PKR 6,800,000 adds alloys, six speakers and the ADAS camera suite. Booking PKR 1,500,000 on the 430 grades.
